NEW SKILLS FOR A CHANGING WORLD
-
International Strategies, Inc. works with corporations, non-governmental organizations and legislative/parliamentary leaders providing
training on international issues and trends that have the potential to impact their decisions. Awareness of global trends enables leaders to plan more effective strategy and to anticipate needed action. The seminars teach skills in recognizing and managing those trends.

The rapid pace of global change has tremendously influenced decisions regarding educating future leaders. ISI works with elected officials, business and educational policy leaders to find effective and appropriate methods for incorporating international themes into educational efforts. ISI has been involved in developing strategic plans for international education to include global partnerships and exchanges among schools, better preparing teachers for an interconnected world, expanding world language skills, and recruiting international teachers.
With the ultimate goal being to better prepare the next generation of leaders for a rapidly changing
world, Clark Plexico, the President of International Strategies, brings a unique perspective to these issues. He has been an international educator, businessman, and state senator who chaired the Education and Education Appropriations Committees, and introduced some of the first legislation in North Carolina dealing with international education. Clark Plexico has visited and studied the educational systems of a number of countries including Ireland, England, Scotland, Norway, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Iran, India, China and Japan. In addition, he is actively involved in on-going leadership training efforts for emerging leaders in Afghanistan and the eight former Soviet republics in Central Asia and the Caucasus, and building inter-religious partnerships in the Middle East.
